Hello there! I'm Sarah Ankerman (like 'Anchormen')

I’m a Southern California based production hair and makeup artist with over a decade of experience in television, film, commercial, and corporate productions.  My work ranges from clean, camera-ready makeup and elevated glam to men’s grooming and subtle special effects makeup, including sweat, bruising, and cuts.

I started my career working in TV News, spending 11 years working in fast-paced live production environments. That experience gave me a strong understanding of professional lighting, high-definition cameras, and how to work efficiently within the fast-paced demands of a professional set.

Known for my calm, collaborative approach, I strive to make talent feel comfortable, confident, and camera ready while working seamlessly alongside producers, photographers, directors, and creative teams.  I pride myself on being reliable, adaptable, and easy to work with in fast-moving production environments.

Based in Southern California, I regularly work throughout San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and am available for travel.
